COVID-19 Vaccinations

Covid Vaccination Update

The combined efforts of the eight Bognor Regis practices to deliver the Covid vaccinations to those over 50 years old and those with significant underlying health conditions will be drawing to a close next week.  By that time our teams will have delivered over 60,000 vaccinations to our patients - this includes care homes, housebound patients and about 55,000 given in the local vaccination centre.

This project has involved large scale organisation and the assistance of many people.  We say a huge thank you to all of those involved in the booking team, the organisation of the programme, the administrative and clinical staffing involved in running the centre and delivering vaccinations.  We don't forget the large team of volunteers who have given up hours of their time for free to help ensure that the centre has run as smoothly as possible.

If you are over 50 years old and have not had an appointment booked by Monday 24th May you will need to contact 119, or book an appointment via the national booking website (  Should you have problems booking via the national service or have any queries about the Covid-19 Vaccination programme please contact Alternatively you can phone 0800 433 4545 (open 9am – 4pm, Monday to Friday, not including bank holidays)

If you are under 50 years of age, you will be contacted ( via text message and/or by phone) to book your appointment at our Local Vaccination Centre in Bognor Regis from the second week in June 2021. Alternatively patients are advised to contact 119, or book an appointment via the national booking website (

We are delighted to be able to inform you that the first deliveries of the covid vaccines for the Regis Primary Care Network (PCN) are due from 6th January onwards.

Initially vaccinations will be given at an NHS England approved central location in Bognor Regis, and our practice teams will be in attendance at specific sessions to provide this service on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th January.

If you are in the first cohort for vaccination, you will be telephoned by a member of staff from Innovations in Primary Care (IPC) to offer you an appointment. Please do not contact the Practice directly about your vaccination as we have no access to the appointments system and cannot influence who is invited to attend.

Initially patients aged over 80 years of age will be offered an appointment. Vaccines will also be provided to residents, and staff, in care homes as soon as possible.

Whilst our staff are on secondment to the vaccination centre, and as the incidence of Coronavirus is increasing within our area, we may have to reduce the number of routine and screening appointments which we are able to offer, and we would appreciate your patience and understanding in this regard. However, if you have an acute problem, which is not covid related, and you feel you need urgent care, we shall always do our best to assist you. If you think you have covid symptoms you should call 119.

May we remind you that throughout this pandemic you should maintain social distancing in accordance with the guidance, and follow the rules in regard to isolation if you or a confirmed contact have a positive test.

We send you all good wishes for a better year in 2021, and urge you to keep safe.
