In addition to the routine opening hours shown on our Home Page, we offer the following:

Saturday Morning Openings

The Government has introduced ‘Enhanced Access’, whereby practices open outside normal working hours in order to provide additional routine appointments for patients who find it difficult to attend during core hours. Accordingly, we now offer routine, pre-booked appointments at the Croft Surgery on Saturday mornings.

We would emphasise this is only for provision of routine appointments with a doctor.

There are no nurses on duty and the dispensary is closed. A receptionist is available to greet you and deal with queries in relation to your appointment, but no other practice services will be available.

Please remember if you are acutely unwell on a Saturday morning, you should not come to the surgery. The out-of-hours service provided by Harmoni remains the first point of contact between 18.30 hours on Friday and 08.00 hours on Monday.

Out Of Hours

Evening and weekend care is provided for our patients by HARMONI. If you require medical advice outside surgery hours (between 18.30 and 08.00 hours Monday to Friday, between 18.30 hours Friday and 08.00 hours Monday, and bank holidays) you can contact HARMONI directly on 0300 130 1313. Alternatively, you can telephone our emergency number 01243 543240 for an answerphone message. Please remember that our answerphone cannot accept incoming messages.

Emergencies

Appointments for these can only be made on the day. You will not be able to book an appointment with a specified doctor, and there may be a considerable wait, according to demand. Emergency appointments are reserved for the Croft and Meadowcroft surgeries only.
