How Do I... Make An Appointment?

We operate an appointment system Monday to Friday, when we endeavour to offer you an appointment with a doctor within 48 hours. However, this will not necessarily be with the doctor of your choice. Appointments can be made with the duty doctor by calling in the morning on the day that you wish to be seen. Additionally we offer pre-bookable routine/non-urgent appointments.

How Do I... Cancel An Appointment?

If for whatever reason you need to cancel an appointment, please contact the surgery as soon as possible. By failing to keep an appointment you may have denied someone in real need.

How Do I... Obtain Telephone Advice?

The doctors are willing to speak with you on the telephone if available, but it is helpful if you can tell the receptionist the nature of your call. It can be disruptive to interrupt the doctor when in surgery, and it may be that your call will be returned at a more appropriate time of day. We cannot guarantee that calls will be returned on the same day.

How Do I... Obtain A Home Visit?

Home visits are made to patients who are too ill to attend the surgeries. To enable the doctors to plan their calls, please make requests before 10.30 where possible. The receptionist will take details of your name, address, telephone number and an indication of the symptoms, as this helps the doctors assess the priority of calls. A doctor will then either phone or visit after morning surgery.

How Do I... Obtain Test Results?

Please ring for test results between 14.00 and 16.00, when the telephone lines to the surgery are less busy.
